3 Things To Try To Get More Interaction On Your Social Channels

While it’s good for all businesses to be active on relevant social media channels, you can’t simply rely on what you’re posting to help grow your following. To really get people interested in you and what you’re doing, you need to find a way to get them to interact and engage with you. 

To help you see how you can do this for your own company or brand, here are three things to try to get more interaction on your social channels

Make Engagement Easy

For most people, if something they’re being asked to do is going to be hard, they’ll look for any excuse not to do that thing. The same is true when it comes to interacting with a company on social media. Unless someone is very impressed or very upset, most people won’t interact with your profile unless you make it easy for them to do so.

One great way you can do this is to ask questions to your followers and open yourself up to some feedback from them. If you’re using a social platform that allows you to set up a poll, this can be an easy way to encourage people to respond to your question without having to do anything other than make one extra click. So if you haven’t used polls or questions in the past, look into doing so now. 

Use Hashtags To Get More Visibility

Hashtags work on multiple social media sites. So if you’re not using hashtags each time you post something on social media, you’re losing out on a lot of visibility and many chances you could have had to interact with people.

Before you post something on your chosen social media platforms, think about what categories your content might fall under. Then, include those hashtags in your post. Additionally, if you know that certain hashtags are currently trending and getting a lot of traction, you could cater a post to that hashtag so you can take advantage of a bigger audience that’s currently interested in that hashtag. 

Directly Respond When You Do Get Interaction

One thing that’s sure to discourage people from interacting with you on social media is if you don’t appear to be interested in interacting with them. If every comment you get gets no response from you, people won’t want to waste their time commenting in the future. So whenever you do get some form of interaction on your social profiles, be it someone sharing your content or talking to you in the comments section, make sure you respond directly to that person so that they’ll want to continue interacting with you at a later date, too.
