What Do You Do In Your Spare Time?

I’m not one to stay idle, so I do a lot of things that keep my mind going. Sometimes I listen to podcasts while I’m out riding my bike. Innovation Ecosystem or Call To Action are great. Their conversations with guests provide different points of view that I find helpful.

I also enjoy biking, running and indoor rock climbing. I cook a lot too. It gives me the chance to make new dishes from around the world.

What’s Your Favorite TV Show?

Well, speaking of cooking, my favorite shows are both Top Chef and Iron Chef! The food is maybe the first reason why I really enjoy these shows, but it’s also about the competition, teamwork and motivation these chefs have. They’re kind of an inspiration for me and though it’s not marketing, the strategies they implement apply-in a sense- to my work and it gives me ideas on how to innovative in the same regard.

What do you wish you knew before starting a business?

Had I known the truth behind what it really means to be an entrepreneur, I would have been more prepared! But I wouldn’t change my decision. There are so many components to running a business. It’s just you at the beginning. There isn’t an instruction manual. It’s a lot of work, it’s sometimes disappointing, but in the end it’s rewarding.

What’s your favorite thing about working in your industry?

The amount of people I get to collaborate with hands down. I’m constantly meeting new minds, ideas and personalities. All of them fuel my passion even further and it always makes me excited to see just how diverse and large our industry is!

What motivates you every day?

As I watch colleagues succeed and get better, it makes me competitive (in a good way). My own desire to produce quality work for others makes me excited for new and present projects.
