David Melrose, Founder of United Debt Counselors
David Melrose is the founder of United Debt Counselors (UDC) of Frisco, Texas.
Where were you born?
I was born in Venice, California. I run UDC, a company that offers debt relief services.
Things that you love?
I love serving my clients. I am passionate about my profession. When not working, I enjoy reading, Bikram Yoga and spending time with friends and family.
Favorite type of food?
I am salad guy. Funny enough. I like the nice salad, particularly after workouts. I visit restaurants that allow clients to customize own salad.
How did you get started in your career?
I was brought up by my mother single-handedly. She struggled with credit card debts which was a bad experience for the family. I pursued my studies with a hope of helping American debtors faced with similar problems. I was lucky to have met a group of professionals who specializes in debt relief services. At United Debt Counselors, we educate consumers about the debt industry and are always working to improve our client satisfaction ratings.
Favorite place to visit?
My childhood town, Venice. I miss the beaches, sunshine, and food from Venice. Also, I have many high school buddies around the same place. I love going to gym with these old friends.
Do you have any favorite books?
I have read hundreds of books since I kicked off my career. However, Napoleon Hills’ “Think and Grow Rich” helped shape up my mind regarding money. The book inspired me when I made a decision to join debt service industry.
Do you use any unique marketing methods to promote United Debt Counselors?
We offer quality services to all our clients who later come back if they need more help.
Lastly, do you have any advice for young entrepreneurs?
Well, I can’t lack some piece of counsel. Foremost, young people must know that creativity is essential in any entrepreneurship venture. An entrepreneur should never complain about a lack of viable ideas. Be creative. Finally, remain focused on personal and professional goals. Never give up despite the challenges.
