Irina Dorko – Fitness & Fashion Entrepreneur

Irina Dorko is a fitness and fashion entrepreneur who also enjoys traveling and spending time in nature.

What is your favorite book?

I love self-help books I know its cliché. It isn’t because I feel the need to help myself by any means, but I am definitely of the understanding that the more positive influences in your life, the better off you will be. I have been reading “Healthy Brain, Happy Life” by Wendy Suzuki lately. There are a lot of great brainpower exercises contained within. The main focus is around connecting your brain to your body and proclamations of your own personal aspirations etc. It really is a great read.

Do you have any personal aspirations in life?

The only real aspirations I have are with the health and happiness of those I surround myself with. I spend a lot of time getting to know myself as well, whether that is through spending time in nature or taking time to stop and meditate on certain things in life. Moreover, I just want to make things easier for the people I care about. I think too many people are too concerned with themselves, which can cause them to think their lives are more important than others, which makes sense because they spend so much time worrying about “me”. I truly just want the world to be a better place!

What is the best advice you ever received?

Treat others better than you want to be treated. This saying really hits home. I learned this pretty early on. I try to make this a priority especially when it comes to strangers. If I am dealing with someone I’ve never met, I have no reason to treat them any differently than people I do know. It has definitely helped me with my business life and personal ventures. I am not one to judge, and treat each new person with the respect that they deserve. I definitely owe a lot of my success to this philosophy.

What do you do in your spare time?

I really enjoy traveling. One of my favorite quotes is “When overseas you learn more about your own country, than you do the place you’re visiting.” by Clint Borgen. I love exploring other cultures and tendencies of people from either around the country or across the world. I truly believe traveling is something that helps us, as humans, understand each other better. I am inspired every time I go somewhere new.

I also love staying on top of fitness movements and fashion trends. That’s the only way I continue to succeed in my industry!
