What are your favorite books?

I am a passionate author in my own right. I have written a book titled “The Wealth Code 2.0” which can be purchased on Amazon. The book offers financial planning and strategies targeting investment diversification. My all-time favorite alternative investment books include “The Alternative Answer” by Bob Rice and “AI: Instruments, Performance, Benchmarks and Strategies” by Greg Filbeck and Kent Baker. In their Alternative Investment book, Greg and Kent dig deep into strategies to utilize strategic portfolio diversification. Readers also get a glimpse of asset classes and ways to create a balanced and tailored portfolio.

What is your favorite TV show?

I am a big fan of the CNBC Show, Shark Tank since it brings out entrepreneurs in their true element. I am also drawn to the advertisements featuring cool new products, entrepreneurship answers and the opportunity the program offers to underdogs to beat the odds and come out on top. My other favorite TV shows include The Profit by Marcus Lemonis. The show sees Marcus offering capital and expertise to businesses that find it hard to stay afloat.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

While learning the ropes on alternative investing. An old partner taught me that any investment, however promising, has a high risk of failing if it is not backed with sufficient resources. Smart investors know how to probe and pick the winning investment mix that will go on to potentially generate steady returns while checking portfolio volatility to minimize the risk of exposure.

What is your favorite thing about working in your industry?

A growing number of institutional investors and high net-worth individuals are focusing on alternative investment as a strategy to diversify their portfolios and grow wealth. Since the investments do not fall under your usual asset classes, investors can train their sights on diverse areas. This form of investment is typically illiquid because of prolonged lockups and is available in public and private markets. Investors, however, have to put up with higher dispersion of returns and unusual tax and legal implications.

What motivates you every day?

Although profit is a key motivator in business, I believe creating inexpensive and more sustainable practices equates to far-reaching rewards. The trickle-down effects mean greater returns on investment and life-changing transformations. I am always motivated to see investors use our tools and teachings to create wealth. The uplifting stories always keep me on my feet.
