Krishen Iyer – Founder of Managed Benefits Services

Krishen Iyer is the founder of Managed Benefits Services, a Fresno-based company primarily specializing in the verticals of health insurance and dental insurance marketing and leads. Iyer, a graduate of San Diego State University, is known for his entrepreneurial acumen as well as his extensive experience and expertise in technical development, digital marketing, and client relations. The longtime California resident is also an avid reader and frequent traveler who enjoys devoting his free time in service of local community beautification projects.

What are your favorite books?

Stephen King is far and away my favorite author, and I’ve enjoyed all of his books and have re-read quite of few of my favorites several times over. Different Seasons (which includes The Body, the novella that inspired the film Stand By Me) was one of the first books I ever read cover to cover, and after that I tracked down anything I could find that had been written by King. Even after all these years, I have yet to be disappointed by his work.

What’s your favorite type of food?

As a longtime resident of California and an alumnus of San Diego State University, I’m more than just a little familiar with traditional Mexican food and have traveled across the border on countless occasions just to satisfy a craving for a particularly delicious dish, especially one can really only hope to find in the cuisine’s country of origin. Although I’m no longer able to simply head over the border on a whim, there are more than enough food trucks and restaurants in the Fresno area that serve up my favorite traditional Mexican dishes.

What can you look forward to in the future?

We recently developed a new multi-layer platform for Managed Benefits Services, so we are very much looking forward to seeing just how well the new platform performs. We put a lot of time and effort into the developmental process, and we really believe that the platform will be absolutely transformative in the results it delivers to our clients. It’s an exciting time, and we are all looking forward to a future in which Managed Benefits Services continues to grow with an eye on maximizing and ultimately realizing our full potential.

What’s your biggest accomplishment to date?

Since I have set such lofty goals for my business, I’m always hesitant to cite a specific accomplishment as the biggest to date. If I had to choose a single accomplishment as the biggest thus far, I’d point to the decision to vigorously pursue such a unique entrepreneurial endeavor while remaining committed to improving upon any element of the business the moment an opportunity to do so arises.

What motivates you every day?

As the founder of my own company, I’m motivated to achieve the goals I’ve set for the business while continuing to look for new and innovative methods that will improve our ability to meet the demands of a growing client base. Since I’m responsible for developing the concept behind our company’s core mission, I feel like I have a unique understanding of the company’s short- and long-term potential. This understanding motivates me to create and implement strategies designed to ensure the company lives up to its full potential and never risks falling short.
