Mark Dukas

Mark Dukas is the owner of BitcoinSmartMoney.com and a successful Crypto trader from Charlotte, North Carolina. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts. Before he entered the world of digital currency, he was a sales representative for SimplexGrinnell. His success in sales gave him the ability to invest in a new facet of the economy.

When Mark Dukas first invested in Bitcoin in 2014, he saw the potential of the currency to grow and bring prosperity. His status as an early adopter means that he was able to get in on the ground floor with Bitcoin and transform his relatively small investment into personal wealth.

With his web site, Mark Dukas Charlotte wants to share his knowledge about digital currencies and let people in on the world of Crypto. He believes that digital currency is for everyone, not just for technological mavens. He cautions that people should not put all of their investments in Bitcoin and other initial coin offerings (ICO), but should diversify their money and have some cushion from the short-term swings of the currency.

Dukas brings a unique perspective to the world of Bitcoin investing, and his knowledge and experience make him a valuable part of the cryptocurrency community. He can help even the least experienced trader make sound investments through the use of solid data and sensible money management.

What are some things that you love?

I love lifting weights. I used to be a personal trainer, and I get a lot of enjoyment out of keeping my body in good shape. It’s not only good for the body, but it is also good for the mind.

I love my family, which has just expanded. I love spending time at home with my two daughters and my wife. They keep me grounded and sane when my working life can often be chaotic.

I love spending time with my old friends from college, even if I don’t get to see them often anymore. Many of them are in Boston and Buffalo, and I love going up there to spend a weekend now and then.

I am also a foodie. I love to visit new restaurants whenever I travel. It’s important to me that I eat healthily, but that gives me even more motivation to try new foods.

What is your favorite TV show?

My favorite TV show is House of Cards. I’ve always been intrigued with the government, and Frank Underwood is a fascinating fictional President. I also love Robin Wright’s performance as Claire Underwood. She is a great character, and as the show goes on with her in the starring role, I’m sure it will continue to impress.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Coming up through Economics, I can see where I get my data focused business model. A college professor taught me the value of decisions based on data. He advised that I always research everything thoroughly and that I should never make decisions based on gut reaction alone.

I have also been advised to be rational about my investments and not to go crazy and celebrate when a coin or a stock goes wild. We’re in for the long haul, not the short-term investment, and too much enthusiasm can lead you to make mistakes. My motto is grind daily, celebrate rarely.

How could you improve your business?

I’ve been considering creating video lessons for my website visitors. I would also like to do some more seminars and conferences where I can share my expertise. In the long term, I want to add a few more employees to my business. I have so many clients; it’s difficult to give them all the personal attention they deserve when I also have to spend so much time on the fundamentals of my business.

What was your first job?

My first job was as a personal trainer. I have had a lifelong interest in fitness, and I truly enjoyed guiding each of my clients to a healthier lifestyle. Personal training is a rewarding career, but it is unfortunately not very lucrative. I decided to go into corporate sales after college. I worked there for almost twelve years before launching my advisory business full time.
