What are your favorite books?
I read To Kill a Mockingbird when I was very young, and it was a part of one of my literature courses while I was still in secondary school. I think having read it a few times played a small role in my decision to pursue a career as a lawyer.
What’s your favorite type of food?
Having lived in and around Chicago for so many years, I have become something of a local cuisine aficionado. I don’t indulge in it very often, but every once in a while I allow myself to enjoy some old North Side standards: Chicago-style pizza or a rack of St. Louis-style ribs.
What are your aspirations in life?
In terms of my professional career, I aspire to represent my clients to the very best of my ability so they can experience the wonderful feeling that occurs when the legal system functions as it should. From a personal perspective, I aspire to support my family in any way possible and to spend as much time with them as possible.
What’s your favorite thing about working in your industry?
I am keenly aware of how important my work is to my clients and how much trust is being placed in my expertise. As a result, I feel a deep sense of responsibility to reward the trust that has been placed in me by doing all that I can to deliver the precise outcome my clients are seeking.
What motivates you every day?
I try to remind myself often that courtrooms and legal proceedings are something that most people rarely experience, so their opinion of the legal system will largely be shaped by how well happy wheels demo I am able to represent them throughout the litigation process. I am therefore motivated to ensure my clients experience the joy of a just outcome, particularly when the process is long and arduous.
