Raquel Vendome
Raquel went to college at Lynn University in Boca Raton after graduating from Locust Valley High School. She majored in Early Childhood Education as she had worked with children for most of her life. Raquel has always had a passion for working with children, however, was always torn on which path to take. One path being to work with her father under the real estate empire he has built, or continue doing what she loved, which was working with children. In 2010, Raquel dropped out of college to pursue her career under her father. Presently, Raquel is still employed under her father and plans to further her career in this area.
How did you get started in this business? What inspired you to start this business?
I was inspired because I had watched my father work tirelessly to achieve what he has accomplished today. There is nothing more I would like to expand what he has already built and to continue the family legacy passing the business down through generations.
What is the toughest decision you’ve had to make in the last few months?
Working with family is always tough, as personal and business is consistently conflicting. Most of the time, its hard to keep them separate.
What does the future hold for your business? What are you most excited about?
We plan to continue to develop NYC. I am most excited about keeping this legacy alive to pass on to further generations.
What business books have inspired you?
“The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”
